Canadian-Politics.com

About this Site

Canadian-Politics.com is an independent, non-partisan source of information about the Canadian political system and Canadian politics in general. It is not affiliated with any political party or movement, and receives no funding or contributions from any party, group or sector.

The site is owned, paid for, designed and maintained by InformedVote.ca.

Canadian-Politics.com strives to provide thorough information about all aspects of the Canadian political system. It does not attempt to be a news service or cover daily events since the site owner has a full-time job and simply doesn't have the time to duplicate the efforts of the CBC, Globe and Mail, CNews, Canoe, Canada.com, etc.

Using the site

You do not have to create a user account to view the contents of this site.

The site's main sections are listed in the Canadian Politics menu at the top of the left-hand navigation menu. Each main section contains several sub-sections. The wiki Homepage, which can be accessed by clicking either the Home link or the Wiki Home link in the menu on the left, lists most, if not all, of the main sub-sections of each main section. To navigate back and forth between the sub-sections, use the breadcrumbs menu at the top of each page.

At the bottom of some pages, you will find a section titled "Related Links". These are links to websites that contain much more detailed information on that particular topic, or that are pertinent to the discussion in some other way. The majority of these sites are government sites, or sites belonging to research institutes, universities or other related institutions, rather than sites run by individuals.

At the bottom of each page, in the footer, you will see when the page was last updated. While every effort is made to ensure that the information contained herein is up-to-date and accurate, some errors may slip by us. If you come across a page that contains what you believe is inaccurate or out-of-date information, please email us or use the contact form to inform us of the page that needs updating.

Also in the menu on the left, you will see the heading Directory. This is a directory of links to other websites pertaining to aspects of Canadian politics, both federal and provincial/territorial. These include links to government websites, media websites, research institutes and think tanks, the official websites of political parties, and much more. If you know of a site that you believe should be included in this directory, please let us know using the contact form. Please read the Add Links page before submitting a link for consideration.
